LETHAM AND DISTRICT. Lynne Slater presided at the AGM and presentati­on of trophies. Meg Bundock thanked Lynne Slater for all her hard work. Annual trophies: flower of the month – 1 V Alexander, 2 J Mair, 3 L Slater; handcrafts tray – 1 F Webster, 2 L Slater, 3 C Mcneill; home skills cup – 1 L Slater and V Alexander, 2 F Webster, 3 J Mair; rose bowl most points in federation show – 1 V Alexander, 2 J Mair, 3 C Mcneill; rose bowl most points overall – 1 F Webster, 2 L Slater, 3 J Mair. To celebrate their 100 years, members will have an afternoon tea on June 4.

STRACATHRO. Fiona Watson presided at the AGM. Members heard that membership is rising and a new committee was elected. Amanda Wilson of Cherry Grove Bits and Bobs, Fettercair­n, gave a talk. Competitio­ns: tablet – 1 C Gibson, 2 V Blewitt, 3 C Jackson; decorated wooden spoon – 1 Fiona T, 2 S Brown, 3 H Christie; flower of the month – 1 Isobel M, 2 Fiona T, 3 Linda L. Annual trophies were presented. Cookery cup – Fiona Gill and Cathy Jackson; craft cup – Doris Black; flower of the month cup – F Thomson. The summer outing is to the House of Dun.

KIRRIEMUIR. Chris Horrocks presided at the AGM. Reports were given. New committee: C Horrocks, P Paterson, R Fraser, C Brown, D Stout, A Simpson. Annual trophies: Mrs Orr Posy Bowl for most points in monthly competitio­ns, Silver Bud Vase for flower of the month, Mrs Kidd Salver for bulbs, Mrs Nicoll Cup for federation home skills and Mrs Herald Salver for federation handcrafts – Chris Horrocks; Manitoba Salver for runner-up in monthly points competitio­n – Charlotte Brown; Silver Dish for the second place in the bulb competitio­n – Ruth Fraser. Competitio­ns: summer poem – 1 Pat Paterson, 2 Charlotte Brown; flower of the month – 1 Chris Horrocks, 2 Marjorie Lumsden and Charlotte Brown, 3 Ruth Fraser and Marie Strange.

ST VIGEANS. President Ann Frith welcomed new members and reports were heard from the president, secretary and treasurer. Sylvia Tasker and Ruth Sinclair won hampers in a raffle to raise money for the 100th birthday party next year. Competitio­ns: quiche – 1 L Masson, 2 J Lynn; necklace – 1 L Masson, 2 A Wujec, 3 A Hancock. Linda Ramsey gave thanks.

SILVIE AND RUTHVEN. Cathy Ford presided and three new committee members were elected – L O’donnell, A Randall and V Lamb. Office-bearers: president, C Ford; vice-president, F Taylor; secretary, L Gordon; treasurer, M Ross; points convener, A Cocker. Margaret and Helen were thanked for their committee work. Competitio­n, judged by Francis Fleming, was for a drawstring bag to be donated to Ninewells neonatal unit – 1 L O’donnell, 2 A Bowman, 3 A Randall. Annual trophy winners – 1 M Bruce, 2 M Irvine, 3 M Mccowan; flower of the month – 1 L O’donnall, 2 M Bruce, 3 E Nicol. The Blair Uks entertaine­d. A birthday cake was baked by Madge Mccowan. The June 26 outing is to Pitlochry Theatre.
