● At the annual meeting of the Dundee Orleans Twinning Association, Sally Carus was re-elected as chairperson, Carol Divitt as secretary and Olga Mcconochie as treasurer. Terri Lloyd is communications secretary and Justine Boissier is media and publicity secretary.
Before the meeting, staff and pupils of Grove Academy gave a presentation on their recent trip to Orleans. DOTA had made a donation for the purchase of hoodies and set a competition for My Best Memory of the trip. Prizes and certificates were presented to winners. ● Letham and District Horticultural Society is hosting a coffee morning on Saturday in Cupar Corn Exchange from 10am.
There will be baking, plants and bric-abrac stalls as well as a raffle and tombola. Donations to these will be gratefully received.
● The Rotary Club of Perth Kinnoull will host an antiques valuation day with Scottish antiques expert and television personality Anita Manning. It will be held at Balhousie Castle on June 4 from 10am-2pm.
The public can bring along three items (no furniture) to be valued for £10. All funds raised are in aid of the Black Watch Regimental Trust Charity.
● The DundeeWurzburg Twinning Association will host an exhibition displaying artefacts, photographs and key documents at Central Library until June 1. Dundeewurzburg: 1993-2023 An Exhibition Journey will be open Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Friday from 9am-6pm, Wednesday 10am-6pm and Saturday 9.30am5pm. Lord Provost Bill Campbell will open the exhibition at 11am today.
