Crime writer pays tribute to Dundee’s first policewoman
Angus crime writer Chris Longmuir launched her latest crime novel, The Death Of A Doxy, at Waterstones in Dundee.
It is the third title in the Kirsty Campbell Mystery Series and is dedicated to the memory of Dundee’s first policewoman Jean Forsyth Thomson.
The book is set in the city in 1919. Lily Petrie has been brutally murdered and Dundee policewoman Kirsty Campbell is on the case to trap and catch the killer.
Chris, who lives in Montrose, is an award-winning novelist whose previous publications in the Dundee Crime Series have won the Scottish Association of Writers’ Pitlochry Award and the Dundee International Book Prize.
