Hospital wards hit by virus reopen to new admissions
Wards at two Dundee hospitals have reopened after an infection outbreak was brought under control.
Ward 3 at Ninewells and Ward 8 at the Royal Victoria Hospital on Jedburgh Road were closed to new patients as a precautionary measure to prevent the spread of the diarrhoea and vomiting virus among patients.
A spokesman for the health board said that all appropriate infection control and prevention measures had been put in place and the ban on new patients had been lifted.
To minimise the spread of bugs, people who are feeling unwell should not visit friends and family members who are in hospital.
