Two men charged in con­nec­tion with thefts

Po­lice have charged two men in con­nec­tion with the break-in and theft of ve­hi­cles from busi­ness premises in Glen­rothes this week.

Four ve­hi­cles were stolen from a work­shop in the Woodgate Way North area some time overnight be­tween Mon­day Jan­uary 7 and Tues­day Jan­uary 8, and they were later re­cov­ered in lo­ca­tions in Fife and Forth Val­ley.

The men, aged 28 and 23, are to ap­pear at Al­loa Sher­iff Court in due course.

The 28-year-old has also been charged in con­nec­tion with nine other of­fences of house­break­ing and theft, seven that oc­curred in the Fife area and two that oc­curred in the Forth Val­ley area be­tween De­cem­ber 11 2018 and Jan­uary 9 2019.

Four of the house­break­ing and theft in­ci­dents are al­leged to have taken place in Dun­fermline, while there were two al­leged in­ci­dents in In­verkei­thing, and one each in Kelty, Dol­lar and Til­li­coul­try.
