Incidents on Sunday night may be linked

POLICE ARE appealing for informatio­n about a series of incidents which began in Kirkcaldy before moving to a village outside Glenrothes.

The disturbanc­es were sparked at Gunners Club in School Lane at around 11pm on Sunday.

It is understood that the same people involved in the initial incident were also central to a second disturbanc­e in Main Street, Thornton.

Police are appealing for further informatio­n about both incidents.

Detective Sergeant Alex Raeside said: “We are keen to speak to anyone who was in the area of the Gunners Club or Main Street in Thornton at the time, or anyone else who may have informatio­n concerning these incidents.”

The force is also inviting the public to come along to community engagement meetings held across the region.

A spokesman said: “We are committed to allowing members of the public to directly influence local policing.
