Carmina Burana in Cupar

-

AFTER A successful initial performance in Standrews, the St Cecilia Singers under conductor Ken Greenaway are to repeat Carmina Burana in Cupar Old Parish Church at 7.30pm on Saturday.

The singers are drawn from the north Fife and Dundee areas and have performed various works over the years in aid of the Vine Trust.

The trust supports the work of the Amazon Hope ships which travel around the marginalised communities on the borders with Brazil and Ecuador, reaching the Matse tribe, which is at risk of extinction due to exposure to treatable diseases. POLICE HAVE released CCTV images of a knifepoint robbery in Crossgates and issued a fresh appeal for information.

A man brandished a blade at staff in Mossgreen Shop at around 7.15pm on April 4, before making off with stolen cash.

The perpetrator fled the scene in a small car, thought to be a silver or greyvauxhall Corsa.

“We’ve had a good response from the public so far and I would like to thank them for all their help,” Detective Inspector Michelle Johnson said.

“We are working hard to identify the man responsible for this crime and I would be grateful if the public could assist us further by having a look at the CCTV images taken from the shop’s cameras.”

If anyone recognises the man they are asked to contact police directly on 0845 600 5702 or Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.
