Four new faces arrive at Forfar

-

FORFAR BOSS Dick Campbell last night took his number of summer signings into double figures when four players put pen to paper on contracts.

Most notable was the signing in a player-coach role of goalkeeper Rab Douglas, who left Dundee at the end of the season.

Douglas has signed a one year deal and will continue his senior playing career as well as coaching the Station Park side’s other keepers.

With Derek Soutar still sidelined with injury he will go straight into the pool for Saturday’s Ramsdens Cup tie against East Fife.

The signings of midfielder Neil McCabe, 23, from Kelty Hearts, James Dale and Bryan Deasley were also confirmed last night.

Deasley returns on a short term contract until the end of the current year.

Tickets for Forfar’s eagerly-awaited League Cup first round tie against Rangers go on sale tonight.

Season ticket holders will be given first refusal for the tie on Saturday August 3 at Station Park at 3pm.

Although season tickets are valid, ticket holders will be given the chance from 6.30-8pm today at the ground to buy further briefs for family and friends.

Stand season ticket holders over the course of the week also have to pick up an actual match ticket with their appropriate seat number to utilise on the day.

Home support tickets only for the tie, which will not be televised live, will go on general sale from the hospitality cabin on Thursdays and Fridays from 6.30-8pm and on Saturday from 10-11am.

They will be available at Saturday’s Ramsdens Cup tie with East Fife but only to supporters who are in attendance at the game.

Ticket prices for the tie are: stand £15, concessions (65 and over, and under17s) £8 and ground £14/7.
