Total Digital Strategy

In today’s fast moving consumer and B2B markets it is essential for businesses to maximise the benefits of online developments and to exploit advances in digital technology. Blue2 Digital’s clients are able to take advantage of a total digital strategy which covers all the marketing touchpoints for their particular business and ensures that they are able to maximise business results. A digital strategy offers businesses new, unique ways of engaging with their customers and audiences much more effectively than has been previously possible using traditional methods. Well planned digital strategies and campaigns have the ability to increase brand awareness and impact the consciousness of their audience. They invariably lead, over time, to lasting adoption and advocacy. The potential that digital technologies give modern businesses - commercial, social and intellectual - is unprecedented. Blue2 Digital’s approach to digital strategy recognises this and all new client’s benefit from a business and marketing analysis to discover how existing or planned online assets might fulfil identified business and customer needs, goals and opportunities. Blue2 constantly strive to be proactive and expose their client base to as many possibilities as are available to them.

Big Data

A few digital marketing trends dominate the current space with the growth of the social, mobile and tablet market nothing short of phenomenal. Big Data continues to be a growth area, analysing large data sets to spot business trends and generate previously unrecognised value from a business’s data. One such example recently undertaken by Blue2 was the conversion of large quantities of GPS data from cycling journey tracking mobile apps into heat maps to show councils in London the best locations to spend their cycling infrastructure budgets. Social media also generates unprecedented volumes of consumer data that, when used correctly, can enable marketers to better understand their audiences and use insights to create more engaging and relevant experiences across all digital channels.

Responsive Mobile Technology

As well as continually offering new services, Blue2 Digital also focuses on how their web design and development services can be improved for the benefit of clients. Recent trends towards delivery of information on mobile devices has changed the way websites are developed and all new sites now embrace responsive templating to ensure that the website is optimised for mobile use and available in a suitable format on all internet enabled devices (over 24% of all online traffic is now accessed by mobile devices). Design trends have also been affected by this and have resulted in more mobile content with flatter more fluid designs and the emphasis on content delivery. Mobile technology has been the driver that has led Blue2 Digital to develop their expertise in a range of instant response mechanisms such as QR codes and, more recently, augmented reality (AR). QR codes have met with limited success in the UK but when they are used as part of an innovative marketing mix they have resulted in successful client campaigns. AR is at its best when used to reap commercial benefit for clients and this is an area currently under development on a range of exciting initiatives. Social media is a hot topic and in many client campaigns it either spearheads or augments overall marketing activities. It is important to recognise that social media does not present the same opportunities for all businesses and therefore the way it is used has to be justifiable and accountable without becoming a drain on the company’s resources. The area of software service is a huge growth area for Blue2 and is one that they have been delighted to embrace. It is used most effectively to build innovative platforms that are applied to online learning to incentivise and gamify behaviour. These platforms usually involve integration with apps and this is an area which has been developed over the last three years. The digital outlook for Tayside and Fife is extremely positive. The much lauded games industry has some highly innovative companies producing successful games and employing highly talented people in the area. Running in parallel is Blue2 Digital providing every possible digital service from web and app development, to augmented reality and the production of digital content for a wide range of applications.
