Strictly waltzes off with Bafta
STRICTLY COME Dancing waltzed off with a special prize at the British Academy of Film and Television Arts craft awards last night.
The ceremony, which celebrates the best behindthe-scenes talent in British television of the past year and was hosted by Stephen Mangan, gave its Special Award to the reality dance talent show which has become a firm favourite since hitting the screens in 2004.
Dancer Anton du Beke and former winner Kara Tointon collected on behalf of the BBC production team.
Historical gangster epic Peaky Blinders received two Baftas — one for Otto Bathurst as director and another went to George Steel for photography and lighting.
Broadchurch won a Bafta for original music while Educating Yorkshire was rewarded for its editing. Among the other winners: Breakthrough talent — Daniel Fajemisin-Duncan, Marlon Smith for Run
