KFC plan to open 150 new outlets

-

FAST FOOD chain KFC yesterday said it planned to open 150 new outlets in the UK and Ireland over the next five years, creating as many as 6,000 jobs.

The fried chicken business said it would spend £21 million opening 32 new stores this year alone.

The US-owned chain said increased demand meant it would continue opening restaurants at the same pace over the four following years.

KFC runs 860 stores across the UK, employing 25,000 staff.

This compares with around 1,200 McDonald’s and 1,790 Subway outlets.
