1970: Chelsea beat Leeds 2-1 after extra-time to win the first replay of a Wembley FA Cup final.
1990: Stephen Hendry beat Jimmy White 18-12 to become the youngest world snooker champion at the age of 21 years and 106 days.
2003: Former Chelsea and Manchester United goalkeeper Mark Bosnich was banned for nine months by the FA after a disciplinary hearing into his failed drugs test for cocaine.
2006: Chelsea won back-to-back Premier League titles after beating Manchester United 3-0 at Stamford Bridge. United striker Wayne Rooney suffered a broken metatarsal in the game but was later named in England’s World Cup squad despite not being fully fit.
