A Rosyth woman has been named as the victim of a fatal Perthshire car crash.

Kimberly Robertson from Rosyth passed away following the smash on the A9 last Thursday evening.

The incident occurred near Luncarty at around 7.30pm, with the 31-year-old succumbing to her injuries at the scene.

Ms Robertson had been travelling in the front passenger seat in a car when it collided head-on with a van just to the north of Perth.

Two children – a seven-yearold girl and five-year-old boy – were taken to hospital following the accident with “serious” injuries.

The five-year-old has since been released, but the sevenyear-old remains in hospital, though her condition is not thought to have worsened.

Meanwhile, the 36-year-old driver of the Honda Civic escaped with minor injuries.

Despite receiving treatment from paramedics at the scene, Ms Robertson passed away as a result of her injuries.

A statement from Police Scotland yesterday confirmed that investigation work into the circumstances of the smash was continuing.

The Tayside Division of the force also reiterated an appeal to members of the public who may have witnessed the incident to come forward by calling 101.
