And on Friday from 6pm8pm, the club is inviting guests to view the work on show and meet some of its members.

Club chairman Grant McLeish said: “This is the first exhibition by members of Cupar Camera Club for some time. We meet Monday and Thursday evening and welcome new members. Our season starts with an open night on September 25.”

Founded in the 1950s, the club’s aim is to promote interest in photography around Cupar and Fife.

The club holds regular meetings at the top floor of 11 St Catherine Street on Monday and Thursday evenings.

Events include lectures from experienced photographers, practical sessions to introduce various types of photography and competitions to showcase images.

The club has members interested in a range of formats, cameras and techniques – from the latest digital cameras right through to traditional black and white printing.

Mr McLeish added: “Whatever your interests in photography, the club will expand your knowledge, improve your quality and help you focus your interest.

“We welcome everyone from amateur to expert.”
