New faces join NHS Fife board
NHS Fife has welcomed three new members to its board.
Eugene Clarke and Margaret Wells have been appointed by Health Secretary Shona Robison
She has also approved the appointment of Councillor David Graham.
The trio join NHS Fife as Alison Rooney and former councillor Andrew Rodger leave the board.
Mr Clark has been involved in several action groups in the Levenmouth area and is an active member of Fife Children’s Panel. Ms Wells has a professional background in social work. Most recently she was independent chairwoman of Angus Adult Protection Committee and of Angus adoption and fostering panels.
Mr Graham was first elected to Fife Council in 2012 to represent the Buckhaven, Methil, Methilhill and Wemyss Villages ward. Re-elected in May he is now health and social care spokesman.
NHS Fife chairwoman Tricia Marwick, who thanked the departing members, said she looked forward to working closely with the trio over the next few years.
“Each brings a wealth of experience to their roles, of which I have no doubt the organisation will benefit from enormously.”
NHS Fife chief executive Paul Hawkins said: “Alison and Andrew have given outstanding services to NHS Fife board and we thank them for their tireless commitment.
“The appointment of Eugene, Margaret and David will help ensure the board continues to benefit from a wide range of professional expertise and experience.”
