FARM FIRE Firefighte­rs were called to a fire at an external drier containing 15 tonnes of grain at 4.40am yesterday at Nisbetfiel­d Farm in Letham.

A spokesman for Scottish Fire and Rescue said the blaze was brought under control at 6am, with fire crews using two hose reel jets and a thermal imaging camera.

Units from Cupar and Auchtermuc­hty attended.

COFFEE MORNING St John’s and Dairsie United Church will hold a coffee morning from 10 to 11.30am today in Cupar Corn Exchange.

RETRO PARTY There will be a Back to the ’80s retro party with DJ Alan White in aid of Toby’s Magical Journey in Duffus Bowling Club, Cupar, from 7pm today.

DYSART TRUST There is the chance to view the hand-stitched Dysart wallhangin­g in the town hall tomorrow as part of Dysart Trust’s summer exhibition.

There will also be photograph­s, displays and artefacts.

It is open between 2 and 4pm and the first room of the historic Tolbooth is also open.

BANDSTAND CONCERT Cupar Community Council’s bandstand concert with Scare the Crows runs from 2 to 4pm tomorrow in Cupar’s Haugh Park.

HELP NEEDED Volunteers are needed to help the fete and farmers’ market day in Culross next Sunday.

Culross and Torryburn Church will field six stalls and is on the lookout for people to man the stalls and donate goods to sell.
