KINGHORN HISTORICAL SOCIETY The 2017-18 programme of talks for The Royal Burgh of Kinghorn Historical Society includes topics as varied as the Lewis Chessmen, Operation Manna, Fife Brewers and Breweries and the Suffragett­es.

The talks will take place at Kinghorn Community Centre starting at 7.30 on the fourth Thursday of every month except December.

Annual membership is £15, or £3 per visit.

PRE-SHOW COFFEE MORNING Anstruther and District Amateur Musical Society are holding their annual pre-show coffee morning on Saturday in Cellardyke Church Hall from 10am to noon.

Cost is £2.50 and includes as much tea/coffee as you can drink plus the usual homebaking. There will also be a home baking stall, a raffle and a bottle stall.

DUNFERMLIN­E FUN DAY The Christian Community Church and Family Centre, James Allan Community Centre, Paton Street, Dunfermlin­e, is holding a fun day on Saturday, from noon to 4pm.

Anyone wishing to book a table to sell items for themselves or a charity at a cost of £10 should contact the Rev Lorna Tutty on 07982 064193 or email revltutty@gmail.com.

Alternativ­ely she can be contacted at the cafe in the community centre on Tuesdays and Fridays from 11am to 2pm.

FIFE WALKING CLUB Fife Walking Club’s next walk will be a circular taking in Dalbrack, Drumgreen, Turnabrain and Keenie on Saturday.

Walkers should meet at the starting point in Dalbrack at 10.30am, which can be reached from the A90 turn-off to Edzell, continuing through Tarfside for around two miles, turning left for Dalbrack and parking before the bridge. The nine-mile walk is all on good tracks, in rolling country with great views of the surroundin­g hills and the river North Esk.

FLOWER SHOW Aberdour Flower Show is being held from 2.15pm on Saturday in St Fillan’s Church Hall, High Street, Aberdour.

MUCHTY SHOW Auchtermuc­hty Annual Show will be held in Auchtermuc­hty Church Hall on Saturday.

Adult sections are for Auchtermuc­hty and Dunshalt residents only but children’s categories are open, with entries accepted between 8am and 10am. The hall will be open to the public from 2pm.
