E4 puts East Neuk in the spotlight
The joys of visiting Fife are to be highlighted as part of a major television advertising campaign next week.
E4 is to screen a week-long series of 60-second promotional films set in and around the East Neuk.
The campaign will invite viewers to take part in and direct the films as a group of six travellers holiday in the area, taking in a stained glass art class and the Kingsbarns Distillery.
Though starting in Crail on Monday, viewers will be able to influence future adverts via Twitter, directing the group to places of interest via the hashtag #ScotE4.
The Twitter poll will remain live for half an hour after the advert has aired, with votes then counted and the production crew moving to the next location, ready to film the following day’s spot.
Manuela Calchini, regional director for VisitScotland, said: “I am delighted that Fife is featuring in this unique partnership that will show viewers that Scotland is the ultimate playground for the young and adventurous.
“East Neuk Glass and Kingsbarns Distillery are fantastic businesses which highlight the incredible offering of arts, as well as food and drink, in the region.
“I am sure that E4 viewers will be enthralled by what they see and feel inspired to make a visit to Fife to experience what the area has to offer for themselves.”
