Veterinary staff set to climb for animal welfare charity

-

They may be more used to scaling animal teeth than mountains, but staff at a Kirkcaldy vet surgery will attempt to climb Scotland’s highest peak this weekend.

The team from Vets4Pets in the Lang Toun hope to climb Ben Nevis today in support of the Scottish SPCA.

The members of staff have a sponsorship target of £250 but hope to raise much more for the charity close to their heart.

One of those taking part, Laura Leybourne, said it was a lifelong ambition.

“I had always planned to climb Ben Nevis as a part of my bucket list and I started thinking that for being the biggest mountain in the UK I could also get some sponsorship for charity as well.”
