A92 resurfacing work to begin
A £165,000 resurfacing upgrade of the A92 will get under way from tonight.
The improvements on the northbound side between Halbeath and Crossgates roundabouts will take place over four nights between 7.30pm and 6.30am.
Almost 600m of carriageway will be resurfaced and road markings renewed.
The work will address any defects in the carriageway and ensure the road remains in a safe working condition for years to come.
To keep roadworkers and motorists safe, traffic management will be in place each night during the project.
A 40mph contraflow system will be in place tonight which will affect both northbound and southbound carriageways.
Following this, a 10mph convoy system will be in place on the northbound carriageway only and the southbound side will reopen as normal from tomorrow night.
For safety, M90 off-slip traffic will be diverted via the southbound M90 to junction one Admiralty then onto M90 northbound to junction three.
Trunk road traffic on Halbeath roundabout for the A92 will be diverted locally and signs will be erected in advance to advise motorists.
The restrictions will only be in place during working hours each night and will be lifted during the day.
Businesses and bus operators have been advised of the upgrading.
