Changes at SOPA helm
The managing director of north-east animal feed firm Norvite has been appointed chairman of the Scottish Organic Producers Association.
Edward Smith takes on the role from his current position as vice-chairman.
This follows the decision by current chairman, Alexander Brewster, to take a sabbatical from his position for a year while he concentrates on his Nuffield Scholarship commitments.
Fochabers farmer Gordon Whiteford, who runs an organic poultry enterprise at Lower Mill of Tynet, has been appointed as the body’s vice-chairman.
