Police appeal for informatio­n after series of vehicle crimes

Police are appealing for witnesses following a series of crimes in the East Neuk last week.

Overnight between Tuesday and Wednesday, three cars were vandalised in Dreelside and High Street East, Anstruther, and someone tried to steal a third from High Street, Pittenweem.

The theft of a mountain bike from Forth Street East, Cellardyke, is also being investigat­ed and inquiries are ongoing to establish if the incidents are linked and if there are any other victims who have not contacted police.

Sergeant Sharon Holmes said: “These sort of offences cannot and will not be tolerated and we are urging members of the public to contact police immediatel­y if they have informatio­n.”
