Spiders on their guard

-

The Premier League looks to be the biggest loser in the East Of Scotland League departures which puts relegation and promotion in to question. Subsequently, Downfield will be looking to put themselves in the best position. This weekend Whitburn are the visitors to Dundee.

The Lothian club are capable of causing a surprise so the Spiders will have to be aware.

Manager Paul Marr expects to have a full squad available.

Kirriemuir Thistle enjoyed an impressive win over Carnoustie in midweek, albeit on penalties, but manager Chris Kettles hopes his side can repeat the form shown as they visit Fauldhouse United. Kettles is able to welcome back Jonny Snowdon from suspension.

Tayport manager Charlie King is looking forward to the trip to Haddington Athletic as they look to take full advantage of any league reorgansisation. King insists his side are looking to finish in second place by rights. Haddington are currently in second place with Tayport in third, both on 42 points but the East Lothian side are one of those departing to pastures new.

Definitely missing for Tayport are Conor Ireland and Connor Gray.

Thornton Hibs are down to the bare bones for the visit of another club believed to be leaving the Junior set up in Dalkeith Thistle. Following the midweek cup win at Edinburgh United, Hibs manager Craig Gilbert will leave it late before finalising his squad to allow the best recovery time.
