Food heaven:
A seafood spectacular celebrating Crail’s fishing heritage will form the centrepiece of the village’s annual food festival which begins today. Retired fisherman Alfred Smith, 86, is pictured by the creels.
A major food festival returns this weekend with a new seafood spectacular.
Crail Food Festival opens today for two days of culinary fun, including chefs’ workshops, local producers and hands-on activities.
Hundreds of people are expected to take part in the festivities, which are based across three venues – Crail harbour, the community hall and Beach Walk Park, which will host several marquees, a bar and live music.
Students Abigail Strang and Iona McFarlane from Conon Bridge, Ross-shire, sample an ice cream ahead of the festival.
