BALMULLO. President Ann Falconer welcomed Colin Barrie, owner of the Garden Centre Group Caulders, who brought along a selection of plants. EARLSFERRY and ELIE. President Monica Stewart welcomed members to the meeting at the bowling clubhouse. Members chose whether to take part in various “target bowls” events.

CARNBO. President Jay Hutchison welcomed everyone. Members Frances Drysdale, Christine Allan and Margaret Greener demonstrat­ed cake decorating techniques. Competitio­ns: Ann Bernard Trophy – 1 Mary Lapsley, 2 Josephine Paterson. Flower of the month – 1 Jessie Stirling, 2 Frances Drysdale.

CRAIGROTHI­E. The summer outing was to Jamesfield Farm Shop, Abernethy.

KILRENNY. President Jenny Watson welcomed Richard Wemyss, who gave a talk on the revival of the Cellardyke Sea Queen Festival, to be held on Saturday July 14. KILCONQUHA­R and COLINSBURG­H. Members visited Fife Folk Museum at Ceres and the institute thanks everyone who bought and sold the quiz Kitchen Utensils and Appliances. The winner was Dotty Kennedy of St Andrews.

NEW GILSTON and WOODSIDE. President Jean Carr welcomed Michelle Bruhn from the special care baby unit at Victoria Hospital in Kirkcaldy, who gave a talk on the work in the unit. Competitio­ns: soft knitted toy – Catherine Guthrie, 2 Margaret Webster; flower of the month – Maggie Free.
