All classes of lambs sharper on the week with 760 prime lambs ave 183.11p (+5.57p on the week). SQQ average was 185.3ppkg (+6p on the week). Export lambs (58) (22kg) ave 96p.

Top price of the day went to Doune Farms for a pair of 49kg Beltex at £103.

Top price per kg went to HT Shanks, Easter Cash, for a 44kg Beltex lamb at 216ppkg. Spring lambs prices per head: Beltex £102 and £100 West Lundie; Texel £100 Allanview; Cont £100 Pitcairlie; Beltex X £99 Pett; Texel X £99 Blaircessn­ock; Mule £82 Old Nursery.

Spring lambs prices per kg: Texel X 211p and 210p The Moor (Isle of Arran); Beltex 210p West Lundie; Texel 206p Pitcairlie; Cont 205p Easter Cash; Beltex X 205p Harelaw; Suffolk 196p Spinkhill.

Also forward were 428 cast ewes and tups.

Heavy ewes ave £72.22 selling to £106 for a Texel from N Heggie, Carden, Fossoway. Export ewes ave £36.33. Tups sold to £70 for a Bleu De Maine from G Ritchie and Son, Montalt, Forgandenn­y.
