Views sought on Kirkcaldy area
People with an interest in the future of Kirkcaldy and surrounding villages are urged to help develop a plan.
Fife Council is gathering views on what could be done to improve the area and what residents like about it already.
Consultation continues until the end of August and councillor Neil Crooks, chairman of the council’s Kirkcaldy Area Committee, wants as many people as possible to take part.
He said: “I’m very proud of Kirkcaldy.
“It’s a great place to live, work and visit but there is still a gap in our society between those who have and those who don’t.
“We are working hard to close that gap but we need help from our partners and our communities to make that happen and create a fairer Fife for everyone.
“What would make a difference?
“This is your opportunity to influence what goes on in your area – the more information and ideas we get from local people, the better.”
The consultation is open to everyone in the Kirkcaldy area, including Kinghorn, Burntisland and Auchtertool.
Forms are available at community centres and libraries or online at research. fife.gov.uk/webforms
Views gathered will help develop a new plan for the area.
A report on progress will be given at a meeting of the area committee in October.
