Prime bullocks among livestock in sale ring
Caledonian Marts Ltd, Stirling, sold 161 cattle comprising 85 prime bullocks, heifers and young bulls, 58 cast cows and bulls and 18 calves.
Bullocks sold to 242ppkg twice from Knockhouse and to £1,762.80 for a Simmental from South Flanders.
Heifers sold to 258ppkg from Easter Ochtermuthill and to £1,729.20 from Learielaw.
Young bulls sold to 220ppkg from Merrick and to £1,434 from Mid Cambushinnie.

Also forward were 58 cast cows and bulls.
Beef cows ave 133p selling to 182p from Bridgehouse and to £1,380 twice from the same home.
Cast males ave 135p selling to 162p from Barbeth and to £1,420 for the same beast.
Dairy cows ave 99p selling to 122p from Bonnyhilland to £1,010 from the same home.
