The Rookery is excited to be preparing for its first Christmas serving up delicious festive dishes with a focus on local, seasonal produce, featuring the best ingredient­s that Scotland has to offer.

Head chef Chris Hazelton and his team have been busy creating the exclusive festive menu, while the restaurant is looking forward to decking the halls very soon.

The Rookery will serve its festive menus from December 1-23 with two-course lunches for £22.50 and a three-course dinner for £32.50.

Some of the delicious festive fare on offer during December includes: smoked Belhaven salmon with crumpets and horseradis­h cream, 12-hour braised short rib with Isle of Mull scallop and celeriac mash, and steamed Dundee marmalade pudding with vanilla custard.

Festive meals are served with a complement­ary drink and after dinner sweet treat with tea or coffee.

On Boxing Day, enjoy a brunch for all the family with children under 12 priced at £12.50 and adults from £35pp. A children’s crèche will be available for ages two to 10, so families can relax and enjoy the day after a busy Christmas.

Enjoy a complement­ary cocktail or soft drink on arrival, a sharing platter to start that includes charcuteri­e, Scottish smoked salmon and artisan breads, a carvery-style main course and delightful desserts such as lemon meringue, dark chocolate and caramel cheesecake followed by coffee or tea and shortbread.

The Rookery will also be serving its à la carte menu on Hogmanay and will be open until 9pm.
