Castle will keep visitors busy with great festive offering

The Christmas season is here and Glamis Castle is pleased to announce it will be holding its annual Christmas market on the weekend of December 7–9 between 10am and 5pm.

With an emphasis on quality food, crafts and Christmas gifts, the market has everything you need to make your holiday season the best ever.

While away a merry day at the stalls, make a special purchase in Glamis Castle’s gift shop and take off the winter chill in the restaurant. The festive menu is bound to set your tastebuds tingling!

And don’t forget a tour of the castle, which has been the ancestral home of the Earls of Strathmore and Kinghorne for more than 650 years.

Need a tree for the holiday? For the first time, you can pre-order your fresh Christmas tree, just keep an eye on the website: www.glamis-castle.co.uk for further details. These are high-quality, excellent trees which are sure to fill your home with the sweet pine aroma of Christmas.

Entrance to Glamis Christmas market is free of charge, while entry to the gardens and grounds will also be free of charge that weekend. There is a parking charge of £4.

The castle’s 2018 winter season began on November 1 and will run until December 19. Open daily from 10.30am until 4pm, with the final tour of the day at 3pm, booking is not necessary.

The restaurant and shop will be open and guests will be sure to find a warm welcome at Glamis.
