Pacha urges Stars to repay fans with victory
Dundee Stars head coach is looking for a response from his side as they aim to come away with a better result against Sheffield Steelers on Sunday.
Omar Pacha, whose side lost 4-0 against the English side last weekend, has called on the Stars to repay the fans with a performance they are used to seeing.
He said: “I think the good thing is that so far throughout the season we were able to be compete against every single team.
“With that mindset we were disappointed to play the high-end teams like Belfast and Sheffield and lose, it shows we have made progression with the club, so that is a positive.
“If you look back at last week, Saturday was a poor performance overall but Sunday against Belfast we played a lot better and we gave ourselves a chance to win the game.
“We have had a good week of practice and we are going to practise hard tomorrow (today) and Saturday, to be ready for Sunday.”
With Dundee not winning any points last weekend, Sheffield moved three points clear of Stars.
Tom Barrasso’s Steelers frustrated Stars for 60 minutes but the Tayside club have made a few adjustments and will be ready for Sheffield.
Pacha said: “I think it will be about going back to a few basics things that we have done well since the start of the season.
“Now we are fortunate because we had a lot of niggles . The guys have had a few extra days just to get back in shape, especially those who were injured.
“We have made a few adjustments and are ready to go for Sunday.”
