Uplifting service
“May I remind readers that the Royal Naval Reserve Service of Remembrance, which is open to everyone, will be held onboard HMS Unicorn at 3pm on Remembrance Sunday, November 11,” writes Lt Cdr Roderick Stewart.
“This friendly, uplifting service has been held continuously since the First World War and all are very welcome. The well-known hymns will have the rousing accompaniment of Dundee Instrumental Band, whose antecedents have been associated with HMS Unicorn since 1906.
“The event takes place mid-afternoon in order to keep clear of the morning’s events and is increasingly popular amongst veterans and serving members of all services.
“We greatly look forward to welcoming you onboard.”
