Pipers to play across the coun­try

Mu­si­cians will take part in early events across Tay­side and Fife to­mor­row.

Pipers will per­form at 6am in the UK-wide A Na­tion’s Tribute, play­ing Pipe Ma­jor Wil­liam Robb’s com­po­si­tion When the Bat­tle’s O’er.

Lo­ca­tions in­clude the ceno­taph in Scone, St Paul’s Epis­co­pal Cathe­dral in Dundee, the war me­mo­rial in For­far at Bal­mashan­ner, Moni­fi­eth Parish Church, and Falk­land Palace.

Soloists and bands fea­tur­ing bu­glers and trum­peters will take part in The Last Post at 6.55pm at pub­lic sites.

Stu­art Let­ford, who has helped co-or­di­nate events, said: “There are a num­ber of events taking place – I’ll be play­ing my­self at the me­mo­rial above Dunkeld in Perthshire.”
