Bad-tempered encounter sees Kelty defeated and off top spot
Kelty Hearts slipped to second place in the Lowland League following a tempestuous 3-0 defeat at home to BSC Glasgow.
Barry Ferguson’s men had been on the end of questionable decisions when things exploded on 33 minutes when Ciaran Chalmers was ordered off for an alleged kick at a BSC player.
Things got worse for Ferguson’s men within a minute of the restart as they went behind courtesy of an own goal and 10 minutes later Martin Grehan seized on hesitancy in the Hearts defence to make it 2-0.
It was all over on the hour as Robbie McNab made it 3-0 with a virtuoso effort.
As if Hearts’ day couldn’t get worse, Stephen Husband was the second Kelty player to see red as he was sent off for a bad tackle on David Verlaque.
