Rotary sponsored ramble raises cash for East Neuk charities

Almost £12,000 raised by a sponsored walk in the East Neuk of Fife has been distributed to good causes.

Anstruther Rotary Club, which organises the annual coastal path walk, handed out grants to 23 local, national and international charities and groups.

More than 100 people took part in the ramble between Elie and Crail, raising money for either their own chosen charity or Rotary supported charities.

Among the largest beneficiaries were the PSP Association, awarded £2,700, CHAS, with £1,250, and the Scottish Charity Air Ambulance, given £800.

Next year’s walk will be held on Sunday May 12.
