Failed plan hits dairy group
Costs associated with a failed bid to build a new multi-millionpound dairy and housing development near Stirling have dragged on profits at Graham’s the Family Dairy.
The group saw sales in the year to March grow by 4% to £104.1 million.
Profits before tax and exceptional items were on a par with the previous year at £1.3m.
However, exceptional costs relating to the group’s Airthrey Kerse planning application, which was refused by Scottish Ministers over the summer, dragged on the firm with pre-tax profits coming in at £400,000.
