The Carse of Gowrie ploughing match was held at Eastbank Farm, Longforgan and the winners in the horticultural class were: Feering, ploughing – T Tweedie; finish, straightest, ins and outs – A Walker. Trailing Class: Feering, ploughing, finish, throw out, ins and outs, straightest – K Lyall. 10” A Class: Feering – K Findlay; ploughing, straightest – K Gibbons; finish, ins and outs – G McDonald; throw out – R Phillips. 10” B Class: Feering, straightest – C Anderson; ploughing, throw out, ins and outs – D Greig; finish C Anderson . 12” Class A: Feering – C Manson; ploughing, throw out, straightest – J Mcindoe, finish, ins and outs – W Grieve . 12” Class B: Feering – E Anderson; ploughing, ins and outs, straightest – W Brown; finish, throw out – S Greig.

At the Friockheim Ploughing Match at Slade Farm, Carmyllie, the 10’’ Class was won by J Seivewright; 12” Class – G Hepburn; trailing class – R Smart ; 12” hydraulic class straightest – I Williams ; Reversible butts class – G Beattie; Hand trip reversible class – S Fowler; Multifurrow class – S Russell; horticulture Class – T Tweedie.
