Reserve champion Cuiltburn for a pen of 43kg lambs at £120. First prize Texel Easter Octhermuth­ill, 47kg at £92, 2 Meikle Seggie, 41kg at £90, 3 Braco Castle, 42kg at £85. First prize Blackface: Remony Estate, 42kg at £78.50, 2 D Higginson, Braeleny, 41kg, at £70, 3 Auchenboth­ie Farmers, 43kg at £74. First prize Mule Auchenboth­ie Farmers, 46kg at £75. Overall sale average for 2,252 sold was 179.4ppkg (-0.5p on the week). Lambs Beltex £110 Cuiltburn, Beltex X £100 Strageath, Cont £99 and £98 Doune Farms, Cont X £95 Pitcairn, Texel £96 Nether Myres, Texel X £95 Meikle Seggie, Suffolk £88 Pitcairn, Mule £75.50 Ditch, BF £75 Bailanstru­th, Zwartble £70 Blairhall. Also forward were 467 cast ewes and tups. Heavy ewes averaged £70.56 selling to £94 for a Beltex from Cuiltburn. Export ewes levelled out with an average of £46.24. Tups sold to £100 for a Texel from Kinneil Mill, Linlithgow.
