Caledonian Marts Ltd, Stirling, sold 262 cattle comprising 115 prime bullocks, heifers and young bulls, 92 OTM cattle, 55 calves. Prime bullocks topped at 245p for a Limousin from Brockwoodl­ees and to £1,560 for a Limousin from Parkhouse . Prime Heifers sold to 255p for a Limousin from Leariela and to £1,565 also from Learielaw. Young Bulls sold to 205p from Lower Greenyards.

Also forward were 92 OTM cattle, Beef cows ave 108p selling to 150p from South Woodlane and to £1180 from Mains of Burnbank. Dairy cows ave 87p selling to 103p from Carneil, Carnock . Cast bulls sold to 116p & £1,080 from Nether Longford.

Caledonian Marts Ltd sold 1,557 sheep. The sale average for 976 was 198p (+7.4p on the week). Top price went to Pitcairn for 45kg Beltex lambs at £108 and Easter Coates for three 65kg Texels at £108. Leading lamb prices: Beltex £106 & £103 West Lundie, Texel £102 Carriston, Beltex X £100 Easter Cash, Texel X £100 Pitcairlie, Cont £100 Meikle Seggie, Suffolk £95 Hilltarvit Mains, Suffolk X £95 Easter Cash, Mule £89 Pitcairn, BF £74 Midhouse. Also forward were 581 cast ewes and tups. Heavy ewes ave £74.97 selling to £138 for Texels from Carriston. Light ewes ave £46.59 selling to £59 for a pen of Ridgehouse Cheviots.
