Spiders will be tough test for Bollan’s team

-

Cowdenbeath manager Gary Bollan did not spend too long this week in trying to establish what tactics Queen’s Park will use against his side today.

The Central Park boss is sure it will be “same again” from the Hampden men.

The Blue Brazil head to Glasgow to face a Spiders side that walloped Berwick Rangers 7-1 in their last outing and Bollan does not think they will change their approach.

He said: “I would expect them to come out with the exact same team and tactics. I would not be making any changes after a display like that.

“It was a really good victory and having watched the highlights not only did Queen’s Park score a lot of goals they scored good goals as well.

“One of the midfielders hit one home from 25 yards then hit another into the net from 40 yards. They will be full of confidence after that success but, as I always say, it is more important what Cowdenbeath do in a game.”

Ironically Cowdenbeath’s first outing to the national stadium this season saw both sides draw a blank.

“That game finished goalless but there were plenty chances,” Bollan recalled.

“We had the better of the first half and Queen’s shaded the second but neither of us could score.

“They will see this game as a chance to move above us in the table. We see it as a chance to get closer to the teams above us so there is plenty to play for.”
