Rose top scorer Wilson comes in at Kelty as they face Border side

Lowland League

It was one in and one out at Kelty Hearts last week as Finn Graham left for Australia at the end of his short-term deal, with Kyle Wilson coming in from Bonnyrigg Rose.

The 23-year-old was Rose’s top scorer, having scored 34 goals in 41 appearances since joining them in 2017 from East Fife.

He adds competition to the attacking midfield and forward position and could make his debut at home against Gretna 2008 this afternoon.

In addition to Wilson, Scott Dalziel returns after suspension as Hearts look to the double over their opponents from the borders after a 3-1 win earlier in the season.

East of Scotland League King Cup

As the Riverside Stadium is unplayable, Jeanfield Swifts’ match with St Andrews United has been switched to Barnett’s Park.

However, as the pair have already met in the league – Swifts winning 3-0 on the opening day of the season – they will now meet in a second round King Cup tie.

In a midweek friendly against Broughty Athletic, the Perth side recovered from 4-1 down at the interval to draw 4-4 and have a full squad available.

Saints are without Andy McDonald, sidelined following an operation, while Nick Rendall is still out.

Meanwhile in the first round, expect Dundonald Bluebell, who welcome Eyemouth United, to advance without too much difficulty.

Bluebell have done the double in the league over the pointless bottom-ofthe-league visitors.

The only Dundonald absentee is central defender Craig Wedderburn but new signing Conrad Courts from Tayport is in the squad.

Conference A

With leaders Penicuik idle, second-placed Hill of Beath will hope to close the gap to two points away to Easthouses Lilly, especially as Haws had a resounding 8-1 victory in the Keirs Park meeting.

However, the Lothian side are on a run of three straight wins, so cannot be underestimated and the Fifers are without the services of two key players in Rikki Dair and Lewis Elder, plus Lewis Payne, who has gone out on loan to Tayport.

In the same division, Oakley are at home to bottom club Tweedmouth Rangers.

Even allowing for the fact the Blairwood outfit have seen Joe Dawson and James McAteer defect to other clubs and have Callum Runciman and Daniel Kelly out through injury, they should still post their first win for three months, given the hosts have only one point from 17 matches to their name.

Conference B

Both Fife clubs in this league have to travel this afternoon.

Crossgates Primrose in third place are away to Tranent, who are just two points shy of the Fifers but with three games in hand, so the Humbug Park outfit really must come away with something to keep their hosts at bay.

Elsewhere, second-from-bottom Burntisland Shipyard head to Bo’ness, who are another of the clubs in strong contention for a top five place.

However, they have it all to do after losing the first meeting 3-0.

Conference C

Only Inverkeithing Hillend Swifts are in action and they could not have it tougher, with a visit from league leaders Broxburn Athletic.

This is especially given the fact they lost 5-0 at Broxburn earlier in the season.
