Award recognition for memorial in sound to fishermen lost at sea

-

A composition called Lost At Sea, created for the East Neuk Festival’s Big Project last year, has triumphed at the Scottish Awards for New Music.

Lost at Sea won in the community/education project category. Local school pupils worked with composer Scanner to create a memorial in sound for local fishermen who lost their lives at sea.

Installed at the Scottish Fisheries Museum, the work helped to raise funds for the Pittenweem Fishermen’s Memorial Association.
