Oil and gas safety appointment

The Board of Step Change in Safety, the safety body of the UK oil and gas industry, has appointed a new executive director.

Steve Rae is a survivor of the Piper Alpha disaster and has worked tirelessly throughout his career to continually improve safety across the United Kingdom Continental Shelf.

He will take up his new role in July.
