STEVENSON FUNERAL DIRECTORS

-

STEVENSON Funeral Directors opens its fourth funeral home in Cowdenbeath on Monday May 27 2019, making them the largest independent funeral directors in Fife.

The company’s approach of highquality care and service at lower than average costs has seen it go from strength to strength since it opened its doors in 2012. Managing director Barry Stevenson said: “The opening of our Cowdenbeath Funeral Home means we are reaching areas of Fife we hadn’t before. This is important when we have increasing incidents of funeral poverty.”

Mr Stevenson says funeral poverty is a real issue, where families struggle to afford the cost of a funeral. “Families in our communities suffer from this every day. That is why we support a highquality service approach, putting the families at the heart of what we do and giving people more choice in their time of need, but at a cost of up to 40% less.” Stevenson Funeral Directors’ services range from simple to traditional services and even vintage horse-drawn carriage

funerals, all with a flexible approach to suit each family. Prepaid funerals are also available, as are flexible payment terms. Funeral service manager Sarah Yorke added: “Our approach and professionalism is clear with the amount of recommendations we receive. Being able to offer our services to more people is a positive step in bereavement care in Fife. A high price tag on a funeral is not necessary to ensure your loved one has the most fitting and perfect goodbye, and that is what my team here at Stevenson’s do every day. We deliver the perfect goodbye.”
