Concerns as town centre appears to lose another business

-

Mystery surrounds the apparent closure of another Kirkcaldy town centre business.

K2 Textiles previously occupied a two-storey unit on the corner of Whytescauseway and Hill Street, but the store has been emptied of all stock and the shutters have been down for the past two days.

The shop sold a range of homeware and furniture, and there appears to have been no indication the unit was to be vacated.

The closure echoes a similar situation in Hamilton four years ago, when the Lanarkshire town’s branch also suddenly closed down.

Links on Google state the Fife store is now “permanently closed” and calls to both the store and head office have gone unanswered.
