Caledonian Marts Ltd, Stirling, sold 1,939 prime lambs, cast ewes and tups.
All classes of lambs met an improved trade of late with 1,033 lambs ave 190p (+16.8p on week), to 219ppk from Auchtenny, Forgandenny, for a 43kg Beltex. Top price/head Doune Farms, West Lundie for a 51kg Beltex at £100. Biggest rise on week: 47-52kg (+£10).
