Saints hoping for a winning return

St Andrews United return to Barnetts Park in the East of Scotland League for the first time in over a month as they welcome Peebles Rovers to north-east Fife in League One Conference A.

Saints were 4-1 winners at Craigroyst­on last weekend and manager Andy Brown will be looking for a continuati­on of that form. Brown is without Ollie Fleming through suspension and Michael Fleming is on holiday.

Daryl Falconer, Jason Penman and Keir Macauley are all out injured.

Burntislan­d Shipyard travel to runaway leaders Leith Athletic in confident mood, unbeaten in five Conference A games.

Last weekend Grant Brough’s men beat Kinnoull, previously unbeaten at home, 2-1. Brough has no new injury concerns ahead of the trip.

Glenrothes head to the West to take on Dunipace in the South Challenge Cup looking to make it three away wins on the bounce, after victories at Arniston and Easthouses.

Manager Barry Cockburn has a full squad to choose from.

Hill of Beath face a tricky trip to take on fellow Premier Division side Penicuik Athletic although the Fife side did win 2-0 when they met at Keirs Park a fortnight ago in the League.

The Haws are still to appoint a successor to Kevin Fotheringh­am. They expect to field the same squad that drew 1-1 at Broxburn last weekend.

Kelty Hearts are in South Challenge Cup action against Civil Service Strollers at Christie Gillies Park. The sides met at New Central Park in August with Hearts running out comfortabl­e 5-0 winners.

In midweek manager Barry Ferguson fielded a much changed side in the Fife Cup and although he saw his side beaten by a strong Cowdenbeat­h, he was delighted to be able to give fringe players game time.

Ferguson expects to have a full squad available for the trip to the capital.

Inconsiste­nt Jeanfield Swifts face an uphill task in the South Region Challenge Cup as they travel to Broadwood Stadium to take on Lowland League side Cumbernaul­d Colts.

Swifts make the trip without Fraser Smith and Mark Smith who are injured, while Jamie Reid is on holiday.

Inverkeith­ing Hillfield Swifts welcome Premier League leaders Bo’ness United in the Football Nation Qualifying Cup.

Swifts boss Lee Duffy is expected to have the same squad available that beat Hawick Royal Albert 4-2 last weekend.

Dundonald Bluebell will fancy their chances in the Qualifying Cup against Lowland League strugglers Edinburgh University at Moorside Park.

Dair is without Craig Wedderburn, Matthew Gay and Liam Woods through injury, while Scott Durie and Callum Smith are unavailabl­e.

Kinnoull boss Alan Cameron has strengthen­ed his squad with the return of Rhys Davies from Jeanfield Swifts and Jamie McKenzie on loan from the same club.

Cameron will be looking for his side to get back to form as they welcome Oakley United to Tulloch Park in the Alex Jack Cup but he is without Liam Wooley, David Gray and Jordan Kinnon through injury, while Pat Brown and Gordon Norrie are suspended.

United boss Stewart Kennedy is missing Taku Seva from the squad that lost at home to Haddington last weekend.
