● Veteran punks AntiNowher­e League play Beat Generator tomorrow.

Formed in 1980, the Kent firebrands toured with hardcore pioneers Discharge and The Exploited and supported The Damned ahead of their debut single Streets Of London – a cover of the Ralph McTell standard – going top 50 in 1981, with its profanity-laden B-side So What later covered by rock gods Metallica.

Led by the outspoken Animal, aka Nick Culmer, ANL’s debut album, We Are... The League rose to 24 in the UK ahead of their Live In Yugoslavia offering.

After splitting in 1987 following sophomore set The Perfect Crime, the band regrouped in the mid- 90s, unleashing the Scum LP in 1997.

Since 2005 they’ve released four more albums. Tickets £13 from Grouchos in Dundee and Tickets Scotland.

● Indie rockers Little Comets land at PJ Molloys on Sunday.

The Tyne and Wear outfit signed to Columbia Records in 2009, only to find chart success after releasing their 2011 debut album In Search Of Elusive Little Comets on indie label Dirty Hit.

The five-piece’s biggest hit was their third LP Hope Is Just A State Of Mind, which reached 31 in 2015 after they moved to The Smallest Label. The Robert Coles-fronted band’s fourth album Worhead followed in March 2017.

● Prog outfit John Hackett Band are at Kinross’s Green Hotel tomorrow.

Known for his distinctiv­e flute playing plus his guitar and compositio­nal talents, the four-piece’s leader has worked extensivel­y with his brother Steve Hackett, formerly of Genesis.

Influenced by King Crimson legend Ian McDonald, John co-founded long-running ambient trio Symbiosis in 1987 and released his first rock album in 2005. Tickets £21.50 via Ticketweb.

● Make-That-A-Take Records is staging a Halloween night benefit for Aberdeensh­ire’s Willows Animal Sanctuary at Conroy’s Basement on Thursday, with four bands each playing a full set covering one of their favourite artists.

Meadowside regulars The Overbites are taking on NOFX, Buffalo Heart will perform Weezer tracks, Lovers Turn To Monsters have Blink 182 in their sights, and Terrafraid will pay homage to Smashing Pumpkins. It’s entry by donation.

● Glasgow noiseniks Slime City are the big Gloomfest II draw at Conroy’s tomorrow.

Admission’s £7.

● The Green Hotel hosts CSNY tribute Marrakesh Express tonight.

The harm onic trio include songs from their heroes’ other bands The Hollies, The Byrds and Buffalo Springfiel­d, alongside Crosby, Stills, Nash and Young covers.

● Power trio Voodoo Room hit Green Hotel (Wednesday) and Church (Thursday).

The London-based outfit cover standout works by legends Hendrix, Cream and Clapton, with their line-up’s past credits including the likes of Massive Attack, Arthur Brown and Steve Winwood. Check out seetickets.com or Ticketweb.

● Perennial live favourites Main Street Blues play Kinross on Sunday. The Scots trio – Derek Smith, John Hay and Iain Hanna – cite BB

● Highland folk-popsters Tide Lines are at Fat Sams next Friday. The four-piece’s line-up includes ex-Skipinnish duo Robert Robertson and Ross Wilson. Tickets £20 from Grouchos and Ticketmast­er.

● Happy Mondays legend Bez chills after the Madchester legends’ Alhambra Theatre show tonight with a late DJ slot at Dunfermlin­e’s PJ Molloys. Ticket details from the venue.

● Award-winning jazz guitarist Joe Williamson leads post-rock / fusion five-piece Animal Society to Clarks on Wednesday.

● European metal titans Gloryhamme­r, Beast In Black and Wind Rose make up a sold-out, triple-pronged sonic assault at Church tomorrow.
