Bollan will not See striker in blue as he opts to join City

-

Cowdenbeath manager Gary Bollan will not be able to pursue his interest in former Forfar striker Ouzy See.

The forward has signed for Edinburgh City after being released by Albion Rovers last week.

The 25-year-old goal-grabber started his senior career at the Citizens in 2015 after joining from Lowland League Selkirk.

However, Bollan took him to Station Park when he was in charge of the Loons the following year.

See moved on to Berwick Rangers where he suffered a serious knee injury but returned to action last season with the Coatbridge outfit and found the net on five occasions.

The attacker failed to agree a new deal with the Coatbridge club’s new boss Brian Reid and left last week with Bollan admitting that he would have been keen to enter into discussions. However, his hands are tied until the Blue Brazil know more about when League 2 football is to return.

Bollan said: “Ouzy was a player I would have liked to talk to but as a club we have made a decision not to release or sign players until the future is clearer and we are sticking to that.”

City manager James McDonaugh said: “I am pleased to have been able to bring Ouzy back to the club.

“He has had a difficult couple of years but I am looking forward to working with him to develop attributes that I believe could be very effective in this league.”

“With hard work and proper application, I expect him to make a positive impact in our push for promotion.”

See said: “It feels good to be back home at Edinburgh City and to be part of a team that has the same ambitions as me.”
