STIRLING – Caledonian Marts Ltd sold 159 Cattle comprising of 61 bullocks, heifers and young bulls and 98 OTM cattle and four young calves and stirks.

Prime heifers averaged 237p and sold to 262p per kg for a Limousin from W Dandie & Sons, Learielaw, Broxburn.

Prime bullocks averaged 224p and sold to 255p per kg for Lim from A Kennedy & Sons, Seggarsdea­n, Haddington, and to £1,620 for a Lim from W Dandie & Sons, Learielaw. Bulls (Over 16 months) sold to 225p per kg for a Lim from Dalchirla Farms, Muthill, and to £1,529 for a Sim again from Dalchirla. OTMs averaged 138p and to 205p per kg for a Lim from W Dick & Sons, Mains of Throsk, Throsk, and to £1,480 for a Simmental from R Steel, Kepculloch, Balfron.

Dairy cows averaged 104p selling to 131p per kg and £910 from G R Aitken, Traprain. Young calves and stirks sold to £570 for a British Blue heifer from G Aitken, Wester Whitefield, Dunfermlin­e.

THAINSTONE – Aberdeen and Northern Marts sold 3,248 prime sheep and feeding ewes and rams.

Old season lambs (2,816) averaged 253p per kg (+11.8p) and sold to 300p per kg for 36kg Beltex from Ard Na Moy, Glassel, and £139 for 62kg Texels from Goval, Dyce .

Old season lambs SQQ up to 45.5kg (1,799) averaged 262.2p per kg (+5.9p). Feeding ewes and rams (432) sold to £131 for Suffolks from Tillyeve, Udny.

FORT WILLIAM – Dingwall & Highland Marts sold 495 sheep of all classes. Lambs (276) sold to £90 for a Texel cross from 19 Blarmafold­ach, Fort William. Ewes and feeding sheep (93) sold to £67 for a pair of Cheviot ewes from South Laggan, Spean Bridge. Rams (126) sold to £72 for a Suffolk from Oackle, Achateny, and a Texel from 19 Blarmafold­ach.

THAINSTONE – Aberdeen and Northern Marts sold 38 prime cattle.

Young bulls (9) averaged 173.6p (+10p) and sold to 191p p per kg for a 700kg Limousin from Auchenzeoc­h, Fordoun, and for a 710kg AA from Perkhill House, Lumphanan, and £1,378.30 for a 895kg Aberdeen-Angus from Milton of Collieston, Ellon.

30 to 48 months: Bullocks (four) averaged 159.8p (+15.8p) and sold to 175p per kg for a 700kg LimX and £1,472.50 for a 950kg LimX both from Netherton of Inverveddi­e, Peterhead.

Heifers (three) averaged 180.5p (-19.3p) and sold to 195p per kg and £1,218.75 for a 625kg SimX from Hillhead, Lybster. THAINSTONE – Aberdeen and Northern Marts sold 134 cows and bulls.

Beef finished cows (94) averaged 150.1p per kg and sold to £1,590 for a 1,170kg AA from Auchincrie­ve, Rothiemay.

Beef feeding cows (27) averaged 131.4p per kg and sold to £990 for an AberdeenAn­gus from Balaldie, Fearn, and also for a Shorthorn cross from Dale, Stromness. Dairy cows (3) 112.7p per kg and sold to £1,105 for a 826kg Holstein Friesian from Sebay Farm, Tankerness.

Bulls (10) averaged 93.7p per kg and sold to £1,330 for an Aberdeen-Angus from Mains of Orchardtow­n, Udny.

HUNTLY – United Auctions sold 221 store cattle and OTMs.

Bullocks (102) averaged 240.3p selling to 277p per kg for a pen of 305kg Limousin crosses from Bainshole, Huntly, and £1,330 for a 570kg Limousin cross from Carlingcra­ig, Turriff.

Heifers (111) averaged 237.5p selling to 275.3p per kg for 365kg Charolais crosses from Leschangie Lodge, Kemnay, and £1,360 for a 600kg Charolais cross from Gunhill, Inverurie.

OTMs (eight) sold to 141.7p for a 840kg Simmental cross from Roebank, Grange, and £1,200 for a 860kg Simmental from Cairnorrie, Methlick.

Bullocks (703) averaged 238.50p and sold to 284.30p per kg for a 299kg Charolais cross from Blairfad, and to £1,490 for a 673kg Aberdeen-Angus cross from Victoria. Dairy bullocks (39) averaged 188.44p and sold to 217.60p per kg for a 471kg MOX from Meikle Camoquhill, and to £1,170 for a 607kg BFX from Mid House.

Heifers (449) averaged 230.69p and sold to 286.50p per kg for a 342kg Limousin cross from Cairncurra­n, and to £1,500 for a 550kg British Blue cross from Mains of Throsk. Young bulls (27) averaged 240.60p and sold to 257.40p per kg for a Charolais cross from Woodside, and to £1,220 for a Limousin cross from Muirhouses.

Beef cows and bulls (87) averaged 140.86p and sold to 202.80p per kg for a Hereford cross from Thornyhill­s, and to £1,490 for a Limousin cross from Whitrighil­l.

Dairy cows (43) averaged 112.16p and sold to 159.20p per kg for a MOX from Meikle Camoquhill, and to £1,030 for a HFX from Norrieston.

Ewes (566) sold to £140 for Texels from Buckies, Thurso.

FORFAR – Lawrie & Symington sold 41 prime cattle, 10 OTMs, and 871 prime hoggs, ewes and rams.

Bullocks (11) averaged 241.5p and sold to 270p per kg and £1,706.40 for a 632kg Limousin from the Gask.

Heifers (30) averaged 240p and sold to 264p per kg for a 553kg Limousin from Nethermyre­s, and to £1,522.74 for a 619kg Limousin from the Gask.
